DW: I keep telling my wife Wal-Mart is DANGEROUS!
A woman suffered a stroke after cracking her neck while driving home from Walmart. KayLynne Felthager felt a sharp pain in her neck right after stretching it to the right. She used over-the-counter pain medicine for the next five days instead of seeing a doctor. Then things got much worse. While doing her makeup, a bright light flashed in her eye, and she lost her vision.
It came back after 15 minutes, but soon the right side of her body went numb, and she could not speak clearly. Her husband rushed her to the hospital, where doctors found she had suffered a stroke. The neck crack had torn an artery, which caused a blood clot to travel to her brain. The clot dissolved on its own, so she did not need surgery. Felthager has since made a full recovery.
