A Museum Of Personal Failure Has Opened In British Columbia

DW: Hell, you don't need a museum, just take a look in my garage...

Ever made an enormous mistake? Was it museum-quality? A pop-up museum in Vancouver is putting people's personal failures on display. The Museum of Personal Failure at Kingsgate Mall features items like a dead aloe plant, a 30-year-old wedding dress from a failed marriage, and job rejection letters. Curator Eyvan Collins came up with the idea after going through "big heartbreak" when two of his relationships ended.

He put up posters online asking people to submit items that represented their failures, and enough came in to fill an exhibition. Collins' mother submitted her old wedding dress, which she placed in a moving box to show she has moved on. One filmmaker working on a short film about the museum said everyone seems "extremely proud" to share their failures. The exhibition runs through Feb. 3rd and aims to give people a space to explore failure and find hope.
