DW: Hey, everyone should see a show on Broadway once in their life.
A group called Bigfoot Researchers of the Hudson Valley has spent years investigating reports of Sasquatch sightings across New York's Hudson Valley region. The group, founded in 2012 by Gayle Beatty, is based out of her bait shop in Red Hook, and has more than 6,000 followers on Facebook and members who believe the mythical apelike creature roams the local forests. Beatty became interested after hearing a strange howl in 1985 that she later recognized on a TV show about Bigfoot.
When people call in with reports, members visit the sites with cameras and other equipment looking for evidence. The group has received reports from Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan counties, and members believe Bigfoot lives in clans and comes in different sizes and colors. While no hard proof exists, the group says it takes every report seriously and helps people who have had strange experiences.
