DW: I have no butt so I'm going with I'm just plain slow.
Talk about backing into a discovery. Scientists say the shape of a person's backside could be linked to autism or ADHD, but not for the reasons you might think. Researchers have found that people with these conditions often have a posture issue called anterior pelvic tilt, where the front of the pelvis tips forward. This causes the lower back to curve inward, making the belly stick out and the backside look larger, sometimes called a "duck butt."
Studies have shown that children with autism tend to walk with a more forward-tilted pelvis than other kids, and boys with ADHD had a pelvic angle about 4.5 degrees higher on average. Experts say people with autism or ADHD often have low muscle tone in their core and struggle with balance and body awareness, which can make it harder to maintain good posture.
