DW: What, no mother-in-laws?
GameStop's first-ever "Trade Anything Day" on Saturday brought in more than 80,000 items from customers across the country, and plenty of them were downright weird. The video game retailer offered $5 in store credit for almost anything people wanted to bring in. Among the strangest trades were a taxidermied bobcat, a stuffed goose, a "tiny Jesus," a speed limit sign, a bowling ball, a creepy doll collection, Air Jordans, and a literal can of whoop-ass (which turned out to be peanuts).
Someone also brought in an old Netflix disc for the Nintendo Wii, which was used years ago to load the streaming app onto the console. One person tried to trade in their dog but was turned down, and another attempted to hand over their Social Security card, which GameStop also rejected. On the positive side, many customers brought in canned food to donate to local food banks and pet shelters.
