An unidentified object crashed through the roof of an auto parts shop in Magnolia, New Jersey, last week and caused significant damage. So far, there’s no definitive answer as to what it was. Around 2:30 am, a loud boom and bright flash awakened the neighborhood. When he got to his shop later that morning, owner Sebastian Leonardo discovered a large hole in the ceiling and extensive damage inside the garage.
And yes, there’s video. Surveillance footage from the shop captured a sudden fireball entering through the roof, followed by debris scattering throughout the interior. Despite thorough searches, Leonardo and his employees were unable to locate the object responsible for the destruction. Astronomer Derrick Pitts from the Franklin Institute noted that while the bright flash, loud boom, and structural damage suggest a possible meteorite impact, the absence of the object makes it difficult to confirm its origin.
