DW: THAT'S where my socks are going!
Luna, a seven-month-old Bernese mountain dog from Los Angeles, had a big problem. Her owners noticed she was throwing up and her stomach looked swollen. Worried, they took her to the Corona Animal Emergency Center. The vets took X-rays and were amazed to find Luna had swallowed 24 socks, a scrunchie, two hair ties, a shoe insert, a small onesie, and other bits of cloth.
The vets performed two different procedures, a gastrotomy and an enterotomy, to remove all of the things she had swallowed. Thankfully, Luna came through the surgery and is now wagging her tail again…and hopefully keeping her clothes-eating impulses under better control.
