When a snake wakes you up with a bite, there’s only one logical way to react. Santosh Lohar was asleep in a laborer’s camp in India when a snake crawled into his bed and bit him, so he grabbed the snake and bit it back, killing it. Lohar was rushed to the hospital and given anti-venom and was released the following day.
Why did he bite back? Lohar told “India Today” that “In my village, there’s a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it back twice to neutralize the venom.”
