Tired of sweating it out at the gym? Well, hold onto your dumbbells because researchers might have found a way to give you the benefits of exercise without the actual exercise. Scientists at Washington University School of Medicine have been working on a special compound over the past decade that could mimic all those physical perks of a workout.
But before you throw your sneakers away, experts aren’t saying it's a total replacement for hitting the treadmill as it's more like a backup plan for those days when you just can't buckle down and do the squats. However, the drug isn't quite ready for humans yet as they've only tested it on mice so far.
