Do we have a problem? âWeedâ doâŠSince marijuana legalization in New York City in 2021, residents have been grappling with the constant stench of cannabis infiltrating their homes. âSometimes I get nauseous or allergic itchy eyes and a sore throat from how concentrated it is,â says Delaney, 25, a business owner who lives in Cobble Hill.
Another resident says facing exposure in their own homes due to neighbors who smoke pot at all hours impacts every room in their home - including the childrenâs rooms. Now hereâs the rubâŠWhile regulations label buildings as smoke-free, enforcement appears to be so lax that residents are left frustrated and searching for solutions to the dank stank on their own.
