Steve Keeler has set a new world record for the heaviest deadlift with one finger. The 48-year-old UK man deadlifted 285 pounds for eight seconds with just his middle finger in front of multiple official witnesses.
Keeler has studied martial arts since he was a child and holds a black belt in both karate and judo, which he credits for giving him strong hands. Of the lift, he said, “It’s incredibly painful – but my fingers are strong, and I am proud of my lift.”
