A New York man’s “failure to launch” has resulted in a judge telling him to move out of his parent’s house. Christina and Mark Rotondo say their son, 30-year-old Michael, doesn’t contribute to the family’s expenses, refuses to help with chores, and has ignored five written eviction notices from them since February.
Michael didn’t agree that he should move out, and asked the judge to dismiss the case, saying he had “never been expected to contribute to household expenses,” chores, or maintenance, but the judge granted the eviction. Michael says he plans to appeal, calling the ruling “ridiculous” and claiming he needs three months before he can move.
