My son, Donny III, is graduating high school today. So this is for him:
Donny…I still remember when you were born, the first time you opened your eyes they locked with mine. In that instant I knew what unconditional love was. Every day you make me proud. The choices you make, the way you think, your compassion, all make up this wonderful human soul that I helped raise. You will go on to big things. I have no doubt. But let’s not make one of those “big things” credit card debt, OK? You are a great big brother and an awesome son. If I could give you any advise as you venture out into this cruel, cruel world, it would be never lose that big heart of yours. Continue to bring light and laughter and your path, no matter where it takes you, will be a good one. I love you bud!
