There was apparently no drama between current and former members of Judas Priest during the band's long-awaited induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on November 5.

Guitarist K.K. Downing returned to the stage with his former band for the celebration after more than a decade of semi-retirement and a tense past few years between the two parties. Ahead of the ceremony, bassist Ian Hill joked that the evening would either "kickstart something" or "pull [the band] apart."

With the induction now in the rearview, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford is thrilled with how smoothly everything went.

"It was good. We hadn't seen him in forever, and I've still yet to watch footage of that," Halford said in a new radio interview. "All I remember is my brief interactions with K.K., because I'm always running around the stage like a mad drag queen. ... [I]t was great. It felt wonderful to have that moment together after such a long time. And that just shows you the power, the weight, the vibe that the Rock Hall suggests you try to attempt. ... I was just so happy that Ken and Les [Binks, former drummer] showed up, because they needed to be there. ... [I]t was magical."

Halford's comments come after guitarist Richie Faulkner praised the event and congratulated his bandmates. Faulkner replaced Downing in Judas Priest in 2011. He wrote that performing alongside Downing and Glenn Tipton was "truly surreal."
