Rock Hall Of Fame Treated KISS "Like Crap," Says Paul Stanley

29th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony - Show

From all the stories out there about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame mistreating its inductees, you'd think these rock star-types have big egos or something.

KISS front man Paul Stanley is the latest rock legend (this year) to characterize the Hall of Fame's treatment of him as disrespectful.

Among the Hall of Fame's slights, in a new radio interview the Starchild listed "getting into the arena" and having "no idea about the rundown of the show."

The front man, who sells annihilated guitars for $2,500 and VIP meet-and-greets for $18,000, added that the Hall of Fame honor was given "begrudgingly" and that the organization treated Kiss "like crap."

"It was disgraceful what they did, but we won," Stanley added. "It's the story of Kiss from the beginning — that people who believed in themselves and who were told that what they were doing wasn't worth anything and wouldn't succeed came out on top."

Plenty of other musicians have criticized the Hall of Fame in recent years. Joe Walsh recently said last fall that the institution is controlled by corporations, while Steve Miller's post-induction rant is one of the most memorable things since Prince's solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" for George Harrison.

Rockers like Tom Morello are trying to change the Hall from the inside, plenty more musicians don't even show up anymore (see: Radiohead and Mark Knopfler).
