DW: A 6 foot phone would be great for watching, ahem, "educational" videos.
Arun Maini and Matthew Perks created a 6.74-foot tall replica of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, earning the Guinness World Record for the largest functional smartphone. Built using an 88-inch TV, their giant iPhone is fully operational, capable of sending texts, emails, running apps, and even taking photos. It features a working flashlight and the world's largest USB charging port. Perks explained that every component, from the screen to the buttons, had to work for it to qualify as a record.
Maini, known as Mrwhosetheboss with 19.4 million YouTube subscribers, and Perks, also known as DIYPerks with 4.61 million followers, collaborated on this groundbreaking project. Maini shared that achieving a Guinness World Record felt surreal, a dream since his childhood. In an Instagram post Maini explained, “To celebrate overtaking Apple in subscribers we built the largest, most powerful iPhone on the face of the earth.”
