Getting groceries in a nice, calm environment has never been easier in the UK. British supermarket chain Morrisons is expanding its quiet hours to accommodate shoppers who may struggle with sensory overload. Quiet hours at the store will be twice a day, Monday through Thursday, and consist of dimmed lights, no music or announcements, and even quieter checkout beeps.
Not only has the initiative been praised by the National Autistic Society, but apparently quiet hours at Morrisons also has been getting ink by introducing state-of-the-art anti-shoplifting robots, to enhance security and convenience for shoppers.
