DW: Do you ever see something happen to someone and think to yourself, "Yeah, I don't feel sorry for you."
A British woman found herself in a terrifying ordeal recently while climbing Mount Everest. While Facetiming her family in the UK, Emma Keen was suddenly attacked by a yak, goring her leg with its horn and leaving her with a 3-inch cut. Thankfully, however, Emma's quick thinking and the assistance of her fellow trekkers allowed her to receive emergency first aid before being airlifted to a hospital.
What makes Keen’s experience even more jarring is that a yak attack on a human is reportedly extremely rare. However, determined to complete her trek, Emma rejoined her group after getting 10 stitches and finished the final steps to Mount Everest Base Camp on horseback.
