DW: I just can't...I, um, what the hell?
Those luxury lines are at it again. Fashion house Hermés is getting heat for selling an envelope for $125…and yes, we mean one single envelope. The silk-wrapped paper holder is 8.26 inches long by 5.82 inches wide and you don’t even get to pick the one you want. As the description says, “the patterns and the colors of your product will be a surprise.”
If envelopes aren’t for you, Hermés is selling other office supplies as well. The company has paperweights for up to $2,950, mail trays for $780, and mouse pads for $405. People online aren’t on board with the prices, with one saying, “We’re literally just a joke to rich people.”
