SCIENTISTS CALLING FOR "URGENT" RESEARCH REGARDING SEXY TIME IN SPACE

DW: Time for me to sacrifice myself for the greater good...

Now that space tourism is inching toward becoming a reality, scientists are in a hurry to figure out what happens to humans who join the “62-mile-high club” among the stars. Professor of Bioanalytical Technology at Cranfield University, David Cullen, says research is needed quickly to determine the consequences of sex in space. “Considering that space travel is no longer reserved for professional astronauts, the various motivations of space tourists, and upcoming spacecraft developments, we concluded that in-space sex will probably happen within the next ten years,” he says.

So, what are the burning questions involving this kind of extracurricular activity? Aside from concerns about actual conception, one mystery has to do with blood flow since “There's no gravity to pull blood into the lower part of the body.” Also, experts have to figure out how two people can physically stay together… without floating away.
