A new study from Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China, spent seven years studying the habits and health of over 171k people, and discovered that those who drank unsweetened coffee regularly were 15% to 21% less likely to die than participants who didnât; those that drank lightly sweetened coffee every day were 29% to 31% less likely to die.
This isnât the first research that shows that drinking coffee daily has benefits. The Mayo Clinic says it can protect regular drinkers from Parkinsonâs Disease or type two diabetes. The new study was published yesterday in the scientific journal Annals of Internal Medicine.
