Four years after inserting a small glass tumbler into her urethra for ‘pleasure purposes,’ a 45-year-old woman from Tunisia went to the hospital complaining of symptoms that sounded like a urinary tract infection, but doctors did scans to make sure there were no other problems.
There were. The scans showed that the glass was still in her bladder and had been encased in an 8cm bladder stone. The doctors performed surgery to remove the stone-covered glass and the woman went home from the hospital two days later.
