From our media partner ABC 13 - WSET:

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — We have a strong and widespread storm system moving through today.

The timing looks like mid to late morning and into the early afternoon for the strongest thunderstorms.

We'll likely see some of these storms rotate, with a few weaker ones first.

The strongest line of storms looks to arrive midday and early afternoon.

We'll get our highest wind gusts from this line of storms.

We'll be under a wind advisory starting late morning and into the evening.

Gusts will be 30-40 mph without storms, and could be 50+ within the thunderstorms.

The hail risk is lower, but still something to watch.

We're expecting a lot of damaging wind gusts from these storms, even if the tornados don't form.
