From Chief Meteorologist George Flickinger from ABC13 - WSET:

We're seeing the trend of the storm tracking farther west. This means the chance of Tornado Warnings will be higher between US 29 and I-95 on Thursday.

The westward track will also bring heavier rain to the mountains.

We’ll see a lot of 3” to 6” rain totals with a few totals of 8” to 10" near the mountains, along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The worst driving conditions will be Thursday afternoon and night and very early Friday morning as the wind blows the rain.

The highest risk of tornadoes is in eastern Virginia including Richmond and areas near I-95.

However, with the storm's more westward shift, the Tornado Warning potential is higher now also between US 29 and I-95.

Rain increases Thursday morning. The heaviest is Thursday afternoon, night and early Friday morning.

Most, if not all, rain ends between 6 a.m. and noon Friday.

Wind will be gusting near 40 mph; when gusts are near 40 mph, we typically do see some power outages from fallen trees.

The wind will be strongest Thursday night/early Friday morning.
