Man Killed After Being Struck By Flying Cow

DW: Holy flying cow Batman! Guess he didn't moooooooove fast enough.

In a story that’s almost impossible to believe, an elderly man has been struck and killed by a flying cow. Shivdayal Sharma, who was 82 years old, was relieving himself near some train tracks in Alwar, India when a cow was reportedly struck and launched 100 feet into the air by the Vande Bharat Express train. Sharma is believed to have been killed instantly.

In light of this incident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced new measures to keep livestock away from the tracks, including vegetation and garbage removal, as well as "frequent whistling at locations prone for cattle/animal runover”. The railway is also putting up metal fencing along the route in an effort to keep animals away. The work is expected to be completed in the next 4 to 5 months.
