Mysterious Sphere That Washed Ashore In Japan Labeled A “Godzilla Egg”

DW: Sing with me's the end of the world as we know it...

A large metal sphere that washed ashore on Enshu Beach in Japan has been nicknamed a “Godzilla egg” on social media. Authorities were notified of the four-foot spere by a woman who found it on the beach, and officials blocked off the beach to investigate it.

Bomb disposal crews used X-rays to figure out that the giant metal ball was hollow; it still hasn’t been identified, but some are saying it might be a giant mooring buoy and not something aliens dropped into the ocean.
