English Town Using “Paint That Pees Back” To Stop Public Urination At Races

DW: Challenge accepted!

While the annual horse race in Cheltenham, England draws thousands of people every year, officials are trying something new to keep people from urinating in public while they’re in town. The town council has announced that they’re using “paint that pees back” on the sides of buildings in the area.

How does that work? It’s officially called “hydrophobic paint,” and it’s a special chemical formula that repels liquids, which means anyone relieving themselves on a surface painted with it would see it splashing back at them. Councillor Max Wilkinson said, “I’m sure the prospect of wet trousers will make people think twice.”
