CNN Hosts Asked to Cut Back on Drinking During Upcoming New Year's Eve Show

CNN is cutting back on its boozy New Year’s Eve celebrations. 

During a town hall discussion held this week between CNN staffers and the company’s chairman and CEO, Chris Licht, it was announced that on-camera drinking eroded the credibility of the news network’s personnel and damaged their “respectability."

For years, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen have anchored the CNN New Year's Eve celebration from Times Square.

Cohen always seems insistent on getting Cooper drunk but never does.

However, last year Andy seemed to have a little too much to drink.

Viewers seem to relish it, but the head of CNN thinks it goes way too far in damaging their credibility as a news organization.
