Study: Money Does Buy Happiness

DW: I'm doomed to be unhappy then I guess... HAHAHAHAHA

If you’ve ever been told that money doesn’t buy happiness, there’s new research that shows that might not be right. Researchers at the University of British Columbia recruited 300 people in seven countries and gave half of them $10k each, then monitored them for six months.

By the end of the study, the group that received the cash reported feeling happier, and it didn’t matter how they spent it. Gains in happiness were highest for those that had the least amount of money before the study. The participants had an average income of just over $54k, and 82% had bachelor’s degrees or higher.
