Identities of 3 UVA Football Players Shot and Killed Have Been Released

The identities of the three students who were killed at a shooting at the University of Virginia last night were released at a news conference Monday morning, where it was also announced that the suspect in the shooting had been taken into custody.

Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D'Sean Perry are the victims who died in the shooting.

All three were third year students and football players for the University of Virginia's team.

The two injured people's identities will not be released, but one is in critical condition and one is in good condition, authorities said.

According to officials, the shooting happened Sunday night on a bus full of students returning from a trip.

Devin Chandler, a wide receiver, was from Huntersville, NC.

Lavel Davis Jr., also a wide receiver, was from Dorchester, SC.

D'Sean Perry, a line backer, was from Miami, FL.
