A TikToker is claiming that she and a friend were detained at LAX Airport because they were too good-looking. Australian Mikaela Testa, who has 2.2 million followers on the app, says in a video that she thinks officials suspected them of being strippers or escorts.
Testa’s friend was sent “straight to the detained area,” and she added, “I know for a fact that he thought she was a prostitute or an escort looking to work in the US.” Testa says she has “so many Australian girlfriends’ who spent “days” being detained; Testa and her friend were let go after about five hours.
