Gen Z Says The ‘Thumbs Up’ Emoji Is ‘Passive-Aggressive’

The latest complaint by members of Gen Z is over the “thumbs-up” emoji, which they say is “passive-aggressive” and makes the user look old. Other emojis that make texters look old to Gen Z include the red heart, the clapping hands, and the checkmark.

It’s not the first time the generation born between the mid-to-late 1990s and the early 2010s has had a problem with the emojis used by older generations, but the group believes the emojis in question are used by “old” people…over the age of 35.
