Thomas Barnes of Raleigh disputed a $70 charge with DirecTV when his bichon frise dog ordered the Hustler channel. Barnes says he thinks the dog, named Marino, hopped onto the bed and hit the wrong button on the remote with his paws.
He immediately called the company and explained the situation, and they told him that the charge would be reversed. This was in 2019, and DirecTV allegedly turned off his service when he paid everything but the $70. Barnes was finally able to get the FCC involved, and they’ve finally credited him $70.
Marino had no comment.
