ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Two people are dead and one is unaccounted for after a fire at a home in Roanoke Monday.
Roanoke Fire-EMS responded to a house fire in the 1600 block of Stewart Ave SE just before 2 p.m.
They first said three people were unaccounted for including two children and one adult, they later said that two people were confirmed dead and one person was still unaccounted for.
The fire department said one person was rescued from the home by neighbors before they got there and was taken to the hospital.
