James Hetfield Returns To Stage At Eddie Money Tribute

James Hetfield is out of rehab and back on stage. The Metallica frontman played his first gig since taking a break from the road to go back to rehab in September, performing at a star-studded tribute to the late Eddie Money.

The Metallica singer wasn’t one of the announced guests at the tribute show, which was led by Sammy Hagar, George Thorogood, Rick Springfield, and more. Hetfield made a surprise appearance at the Saban in Beverly Hills, delivering an acoustic rendition of Money’s “Baby Hold On.”

Proceeds from the gig benefited the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund.Check out a clip of Hetfield’s performance to the right.
