A spokesperson for Roanoke County Police say the motorcycle driver involved in a crash on Peters Creek Road Monday evening has died.
James Manetta passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Police said Manetta was driving his bike north in the 5600 block of Peters Creek Road around 6:45 p.m. when he ran into a Ford Explorer that pulled out from Newland Road.
Both people in the Explorer were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
Police says drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
Charges are pending in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
