Salvation Army of Lynchburg to open "cooling station" as temps rise

As temperatures start to reach highs of 90 degrees this weekend, the Salvation Army of Lynchburg will be opening a 'cooling station' starting tomorrow, May 23, 2019.

They say they will open the cooling station on Park Avenue every day that the temperatures rise above 90 degrees - offering water and cool air.

The organization says they could use bottled water and snack donations to give visitors to the cooling station.
