Roanoke Police said officers have responded to a shooting on the 700 block of Fairview Rd NW.
One individual is confirmed dead and another injured.
The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. and is currently under investigation by police.
Roanoke Police do not believe there is any immediate danger to the community concerning this incident.
