Paul Stanley Impersonator's Hair Catches Fire During Performance

Being in Kiss is not without its risks - it's something bassist Gene Simmons has learned the hard way over the years. Gene estimates he's lit his hair on fire six or seven times, starting on December 31, 1973 when he first debuted his signature fire-spitting trick as the band played "Firehouse." It turns out that this isn't just an issue effecting the actual band members, it's a problem tribute acts have to deal with too. In fact, one Paul Stanley-wannabe had his hair go up in flames this week. It happened in Sioux City, Iowa when a spark from pyrotechnics landed in the singer's hair as he was performing "Detroit Rock City." However, the guy is clearly a professional because rather than bringing the song to a halt as he stopped, dropped and rolled, the Paul impersonator kept singing as roadies doused the flames. Not surprisingly, the crowd loved it.
