Overnight shooting in Roanoke leaves two injured

Roanoke police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured early Sunday morning.

Officers say they responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Maple Ave. SW at around 12:30 a.m.

Officials say they were able to find a juvenile male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A little while after a man arrived at the same hospital with a gunshot wound from the same incident.

Officials say their injuries are believe to be non-life threatening.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting, and anyone with information can call call (540)334-8500 or text 274637 with "RoanokePD" in the message.
