California Businessman Gifts $1,000 To Students and Teachers

After over 90 percent of the students and faculty at Paradise High School lost their homes due to devastating wildfires, one businessman decided to try and make a difference. 

Bob Wilson, an 89-year-old real estate magnate, loaded up 1,085 checks and head North, not because he had any personal connection to Paradise, but because he wanted to help put a smile on the kids' faces. 

While the school itself survived the wildfire, 90 percent of the students and faculty are without homes right now. A lot of the checks will probably be given to their parents to help with basic essentials.
