Television cancellation and renewals can take fans by surprise. This year's felt particularly Hunger Games like with cancelled shows jumping to new networks and even to Netflix. One is even getting the chance to come back and do a TV movie to wrap up its loose ends.
So what shows won't we see when Fall TV returns next month?
New Girl - CW
This one was not a surprised. When The CW renewed New Girl last year, they announced that it would be the final season. At least they got the chance to properly end their show.
Designated Survivor
Starring Kiefer Sutherland, this show had a strong start. I know some people that were really invested in it. But, at the end of the day, ABC decided not to renew it for a third season.
Taken
Turns out the show couldn't do as well as the movies that inspired it.
Roseanne
Everyone saw this show's fall from grace after star Roseanne Barr tweeted out a rather racist comment. But those who enjoyed it's return to television, the rest of the cast will return in a spinoff called "The Connors" which is slated to premiere this Fall.
Quantico
Looks like the show starring recently engaged Priyanka Chopra will not return for a third season.
Scandal
The first of Shonda Rhimes' shows on ABC came to an end this year. Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, and How To Get Away With Murder will all be returning though! Also, rumor has it she'll have the first of her new Netflix shows premiering sometime next year.
Deception
This one is the one I'm the most disappointed about. It was my favorite of the new shows to air last year. Sadly, ABC did not feel the same and did not renew it.
Marvel's Inhumans
This show proved to the world that just because something has Marvel's name on it, it's automatically going to succeed. While it was quickly cancelled, Agents of Shield got an official renewal. Though, rumor has it it will not air until after the yet-to-be-named Avengers 4.
