July 20, 2018 - The Roanoke County Police Department will be utilizing Hidden Valley Middle School to conduct training for law enforcement personnel daily Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The training exercises are being held daily to accommodate all officers. School employees will not be involved.
The training is being held to enhance law enforcement response to active threats within the community. The training will be attended by multiples law enforcement agencies and Roanoke County Fire and Rescue.
Citizens may see a heavy presence of law enforcement vehicles traveling to and from the school throughout the week. Simulated gunfire may also be heard during the training exercises.
