What Chips Have The Best "Chip To Air Ratio"?

Doesn't it suck when you open a bag a chips? You buy a bag for the chips, not the air. So which bag gets you the most chips, and not as much air?

A new study sampled 14 different bags of chips and other snacks like Cheetos, to determine which brand has the best chip-to-air ratio. 

They discovered that the average bag of chips is 43% air. 

FRITOS has the BEST ratio . . . only 19% of the bag is air

These are the 14 brands they researched, and how much air they each have.

Fritos, 19% air

Pringles, 28% air

Tostitos, 34%

Baked Lays, 39%

Sun Chips, 41%

Regular Lays, 41%

Popchips, 45%

Cape Cod, 46% air

Kettle Brand chips, 47%

Doritos, 48%

Terra chips, 49%

Stacy's Pita Chips, 50% air

Ruffles, also 50%

and in last place, CHEETOS with 59% air. 

If you're looking for the good stuff, a similar study back in 2015 found that the average bag of chips to having 70% air, which is WAY more air than what we're getting today.
