EMS crews responding to multiple vehicle accident in Bedford County

UPDATE:  March 7, 2018 @ 4:31PM  - Police say that one person is dead after crashing down an embankment.


March 7, 2018 - Several agencies are responding to a multiple vehicle accident in Bedford County after a car went over an embankment near Staunton River High School. 

Bedford County Fire and Rescue Special Operations Command said that the vehicle went 15-20 feet down the embankment after crashing on Route 24 in Moneta around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 and the driver was "pinned" by the vehicle.

Agencies responding include Bedford County Fire and Rescue SOC, the Forest Volunteer Fire Department, Bedford Fire Department, and Moneta Fire Department.
