Lockdowns lifted at Halifax County schools after potential threat

This morning two Halifax County Public Schools were put on lockdown after a threat.  In an alert posted on Facebook on the high school's page, there was a vague Snapchat threat reported to school authorities.  As a precaution, both the high school and middle school were placed on lockdown.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Department is working with school official to investigate.  School officials could not go into detail about the threat itself, but said it was very vague and directed at the secondary schools.
