DW: OOOHHHHH, those type of snakes. HR will not let me clarify any more...
At LXRYOGA in Costa Mesa, California, Snake Yoga is in high demand, offering participants the chance to overcome their fear of snakes through gentle yoga with a twist. Tess Cao, who owns the studio with her husband, explains that their eight pet ball pythons are “mindfully incorporated” into the 45-minute sessions. "No one has ever been bitten!” Tess explained.
During the class, participants handle the snakes and even have them slither on their bodies, with many finding the experience surprisingly relaxing. “It feels like a Fear Factor episode, but most say it’s actually grounding and relaxing,” Tess shares. She adds that, beyond fun, people leave the class with a new appreciation for these misunderstood creatures.
