A marketing firm in Thailand called Whiteline Group announced that from now through December, employees will receive paid “Tinder leave” to pursue romantic connections on the dating app. The initiative aims to enhance employee wellbeing by providing paid time off for dating. This unique leave was introduced after an employee mentioned being too busy to date.
In addition to time off for dates, Whiteline Group covers the cost of six-month subscriptions to Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum. Staff reacted with surprise and excitement over the news. One staff member shared a video showing how she took advantage of the plan by going on a day date at the park.
Whiteline's management believes that finding “The One” could improve employee productivity and well-being. They also side with research that says being in love can increase happiness and make work more enjoyable.
