DW: THIS is why I've been sober for over 11 years. I would've taken a swig too!
A tragic incident happened off the coast of Sri Lanka recently when six fishermen drank an unidentified liquid from bottles found in the ocean, which resulted in four deaths and two critical cases. The crew of the fishing vessel "Devon 5" discovered the bottles approximately 320 nautical miles from Tangalle, mistakenly believing they were full of alcohol.
Sri Lankan naval authorities are working to bring the survivors ashore, providing emergency medical. Officials are now investigating the contents of the bottles while also alerting other fishing crews in the area who may have received similar bottles from the other fishermen.
