This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “fake news”…A station in Los Angeles, California has announced they’ll be launching artificial intelligence news anchors on Channel 1, using “digital humans” to deliver the latest stories. Channel 1 founder Adam Mosam is ensuring the public that the company will “get out in front of this and create a responsible use of the technology.”
However, many are voicing concern over the stunt, with tech and social media commentator Lance Ulanoff being one of them. He criticized the launch, saying, “AI news anchors are exactly what you don't need in your fact-based, news-starved life.”
